ALMYRIDA BEACH
Almyrida is a seasonal resort town, without being overcrowded.
There are lots of beach-side taverna's and bars, as well as a few shops, a diving centre and places to rent cars, motorbikes, kayaks, catamarans and surf equipment.

KALYVES BEACH
Kalyves has 2 beaches, one at each side of the village. The beach in Kalyves is wonderful for the sunset!
Kalyves is more than a tourist resort, being a real village, having all necessary shops, pharmacy, butchery, ... Worth exploring!
We particularly like the beach near the Synka supermarket in Kalyves: Go for taverna Almy. you can use there sunbeds for free if you have lunch there.
Some beaches on the south of Crete are with pebbles.
