NATURE AND CULTURE

 

Crete has surface of 8288 sq km and is the largest of the Greek islands. 

Outside the touristic places, the nature of the island is just gorgeous!

For hikers there are plenty of gorges and  walking trails (more info provided on maps, in the house or on  the internet of course).

And besides all the lovely beaches, Crete offers a rich culture. Plenty of archeological sites of the Minoan culture are worth a visite.

Excursions in the Region


Renting a car is interesting to make excursions or to visit the small villages inland or one of the fascinating monastries like “Moni Arkadi”, “Moni Preveli”, etc. 


In villa Spiti Athina there are some tourist guides with proposed day excursions.
