SURROUNDINGS & NATURE
With its 8,288 km², Crete is the largest of the Greek islands.
Besides its many beautiful beaches, the island has much more to offer.
Crete is a real paradise for walkers, with many beautiful routes through mountains, gorges and olive groves. Walking guides are available in the house to help you explore the area.
The strong presence of the four elements - sea, mountains, sun and wind - gives the Cretan landscape a wonderfully uplifting effect on our well-being.

EXCURSIONS IN THE REGION
From Gavalohori you can take the bus to Chania, but it is also wonderful to explore the island by rental car.
Drive into the countryside, discover small traditional villages, visit the south coast, or explore a Minoan site or one of the many monasteries, such as Moni Arkadi or Moni Preveli.
CULTURE
Crete also has much to offer for lovers of culture.
Across the island you can visit archaeological sites with remains of the remarkable Minoan civilisation.
At the same time, the island still preserves a strong tradition of music, hospitality and local celebrations that reflect the authentic spirit of Crete.
